May 3, 2014Farzana, 27, from a small town in Telangana, had no formal education and depended entirely on her husband’s small income. She always wanted to contribute but didn’t have the tools or training. When she learned about the Women Empowerment Programme by FMS, she enrolled in basic tailoring and was gifted a sewing machine after completing the course.
Today, Farzana earns a steady income stitching clothes for neighbors and school children in her area. She even trains other women part-time.
