FMS Langar-e-Rasool Feeding Program
May 7, 2014
Small Business Support Program
July 9, 2025Location: Pahadi Shareef, Azeem Colony, Hyderabad, Telangana, India
In a society where elders are often seen as the foundation of wisdom and experience, it is heartbreaking to witness their increasing neglect and abandonment. Many senior citizens in India today face emotional isolation, financial hardship, and lack of proper care—especially when they are no longer able to live with their families or have no one to depend on. At the same time, countless orphaned children grow up without a safe home, quality education, or anyone to call family.
To address this growing concern, FMS Welfare Trust is constructing a dedicated 7-storey Old Age Home & Orphanage complex at Pahadi Shareef, Azeem Colony, Hyderabad. This facility is being built with the core mission to serve, shelter, and safeguard the dignity of senior citizens and orphaned children who are in desperate need of care, respect, and belonging — while generating its own income to remain sustainable for the long term.
Floor-Wise Project Plan
Ground Floor
Masjid for daily prayers and a Multi-Speciality Clinic offering free medical care for the poor.
1st & 2nd Floor
Old Age Home — dedicated to elderly men and women, with a capacity of 321 beds, providing safe shelter, dignity and care.
3rd & 4th Floor
Deluxe Hotel Rooms, operated on a self-sufficient model to generate income and make the entire project financially sustainable.
5th & 6th Floor
Orphanage Home — a loving home for orphaned children, with proper accommodation and care.
Terrace
Open Dining Hall for daily free meals (Langar) and community gatherings.
Why This Project Matters
The need for old age homes and orphanages in India is more pressing than ever. As families become more nuclear and urban migration increases, many elderly parents are left behind — emotionally and physically vulnerable — while thousands of children grow up without parents to care for them. Both groups often suffer from neglect, loneliness, and inadequate healthcare.
Many senior citizens and orphaned children are unaware of their medical and educational needs, and with no financial resources or guidance, they are left to suffer in silence. FMS Welfare Trust aims to change that by offering them not just shelter, but dignity, companionship, education, and medical care — all under one roof, alongside a masjid for spiritual life and a clinic for free healthcare.
A Vision Rooted in Compassion
The journey began with the vision of Shri Hasan Nawaz Khan, who, driven by empathy and a deep sense of responsibility, laid the foundation for this noble cause. With a strong desire to restore the lost respect and security of the elderly while giving orphaned children a real chance at life, he initiated the construction of this flagship project under FMS Welfare Trust.
