Farzana – A Tailor with a New Identity
May 1, 2014Salma was a 21-year-old orphan from a small village near Warangal, Telangana. After losing both her parents at a young age, she was raised by her maternal uncle who worked as a daily wage laborer. When a proposal came from a decent family, her uncle was devastated—he could barely afford basic meals, let alone a wedding.
He approached FMS Welfare Trust for help. The organization not only provided financial assistance, but also arranged essential wedding items including clothes, bedding, utensils, and food support for the simple ceremony. The wedding took place with dignity, without debt or shame.
