Ramzan Iftari Project
July 9, 2025Ramzan Saheri Project
During the blessed month of Ramzan, countless underprivileged families rise for Saheri (pre-dawn meal) without knowing whether they’ll have anything to eat before beginning their fast. For daily-wage earners and displaced individuals, even a basic meal can be a luxury, especially during a time that holds such deep spiritual significance.
To uphold the dignity of fasting and ensure no one begins their fast hungry, FMS Welfare Trust organizes the Ramzan Saheri Project. This initiative provides nutritious, ready-to-eat Saheri meals to those who cannot afford a proper pre-fasting meal—right in their homes, at community centers, and even on the roadside for the homeless.
Why This Project Matters
Fasting is not just physical discipline—it’s a deeply spiritual journey. Yet for many, the struggle to fast begins not with hunger, but with scarcity. Our Saheri packs contain carefully prepared items that are nourishing, hygienic, and sufficient to sustain someone through the day’s fast.
Each Saheri meal includes:
- Dates & fruits
- Bottled water or milk
- Paratha or roti with curry
- Protein-rich snacks like boiled eggs or chickpeas
These meals are packed with care and delivered before dawn to ensure dignity, privacy, and spiritual continuity for the recipients.
Guided by Faith, Driven by Compassion
Inspired by the selfless teachings of Islam and the vision of Shri Hasan Nawaz Khan, this project has touched hundreds of lives each Ramzan—quietly, lovingly, and generously. For him, and for us, feeding a fasting person is among the most honored acts of worship.
You Can Be Part of This Blessing
